Josh Forrest had a two-out RBI double in the sixth inning to plate Cory MacAdam with the go-ahead run. MacAdam had cashed Jordan Sampson with an RBI single after Sampson was hit by a pitch to start the inning with Kentville holding a 3-2 lead. Sydney Sooners starter Garrett Nicholson picked up the win in Game 2 of their Nova Scotia Senior Baseball League semifinal with the Kentville Wildcats Sept. 23 in Kentville. - Jason Malloy
The Wildcats threatened in the bottom of the sixth and seventh but stranded the tying run at third base each inning. Matt Johnson was hit by a pitch with one out in the seventh. It was the only free pass Garrett Nicholson allowed. Johnson made it to third before Dryden Schofield flew out to centre to end the game.
