Now, more than 30 years later, Butler is getting set to direct a play Wilson wrote based on his Murder on the Canadian book. It will be performed this fall atButler said he found the script for the play about seven years ago and it immediately brought back childhood memories. “I am absolutely thrilled with everything he is doing with the play,” Wilson said from his home in Victoria, B.C. “He’s got such an imagination. He’s a wonderful showman.”
“As an author, I am trying not just to get kids reading but also for kids to learn about our nation,” the former teacher said.
