With a deep commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Newport World Resorts joined the world in celebrating and supporting the LGBTQIA+ community on Pride Month.
Newport World Resorts Director for Talent Acquisition, Culture & Engagement England Austine Alano hosted a sit-down discussion with Love YourSelf PH Lead Volunteer Brian Barretto and Philippine Financial Inter-Industry Pride Board of Trustees Member Jay Ian Fegalan for Newport World Resorts’ Pride Month Talk.
United under the theme “Bahagi Ka, Bahagi Ako, Bahaghari Natin Ito,” the country’s most multifaceted integrated resort launched a series of events and initiatives throughout June, magnifying the impact Pride has on the company and its employees. Recognizing the importance of a workplace where each employee feels safe and valued, Newport World Resorts Chief HR Officer Terri Llamas emphasized, “We believe that everyone should be comfortable in their own skin. Newport World Resorts welcomes everyone.”
Newport World Resorts also welcomed the colorful celebration with the official launch of the Thrillmakers Bahaghari Community. Employees coming from diverse backgrounds joined to champion Diversity, Inclusivity, and Equity within the workplace. Members will work alongside the management in developing a comprehensive DEI policy that will ensure continued progress towards a workplace that fosters inclusion for all.
