Sydney is set to have its first normal New Year’s Eve since the pandemic, as theis launched from the Harbour Bridge, expected to draw more than a million people to the waterfront.

Stephen Gilby, the producer of major events and festivals at the City of Sydney, said the city wanted to throw Sydney the party it deserves after“We have had a couple of fairly difficult years; we’re absolutely delighted this year to be able to welcome people back to the foreshores of Sydney Harbour for Sydney’s world-famous New Year’s Eve celebrations,” he said.
