"They have stood up so children like Rose can give evidence safety without being harassed to a point where charges are eventually dropped because they are so confused by the adults in the room," their mother Michelle Milthorpe said. "In 2022, our girls decided they wanted to raise awareness of the current situation for the 96 per cent of children who live outside those two jurisdictions.

The proud NSW mother both girls are "thriving" now, despite Pippa suffering with nightmares after the abuse and legal battle. "What they have achieved today through their story will help so many young kids, so no child across NSW has the experience that they went through."
