THE Rural Transit Mindanao , Inc. launched a new bus route on March 3, 2025, connecting Cagayan de Oro City to Mati City in Davao Oriental, passing through San Fernando, Bukidnon , and Talaingod , Davao del Norte. This route aims to revitalize areas that were once affected by conflict, promoting peace, economic growth , and tourism. The inauguration took place at the municipal grounds of San Fernando, with local officials and representatives from the 89th Infantry Battalion in attendance.

“Today, these same regions stand as symbols of peace, resilience, and renewal, ready to welcome visitors eager to explore their stunning landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and untapped tourism potential.”San Fernando Mayor Rogelio C. Yeke also expressed enthusiasm, calling the new route a “gateway to progress.” “What was once known for conflict and fear is now open to travelers, entrepreneurs, and tourists,” Yeke said.
