BACOLOD CITY – Brig. Gen. Ted Dumosmog was named as the new chief of the 303rd Infantry Brigade that has jurisdiction over the Negros Island Region on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
Dumosmog assumed the position and was promoted to brigadier general from colonel and donned his new rank during a turnover ceremony at the 303rd IBde headquarters in Barangay Minoyan, Murcia, Negros Occidental.He succeeded Brig. Gen. Orlando Edralin, who served the 303rd IBde for almost two years since Jan. 31, 2023, and is due for retirement from the military on Nov. 8.
“The first order of the day for you is to find, fix, and finish the remnants of the Komiteng Rehiyon-Negros Cebu Bohol Siquijor . Nothing more, nothing less,” Sison told Dumosmog. “We cannot rest on our laurels because there are still remnants to be taken care of. Our fight is not yet over. Let us not give the NPA the chance to resurge,” Sison said as he urged all personnel of the 303rd IBde to extend support to Dumosmog just like Edralin.
He said that maintaining peace is much harder and more tedious than waging a war itself and called on all personnel and stakeholders to work together to maintain a secured, peaceful, and developed Negros Island.
