BACOLOD CITY — A total of 12 cities and six municipalities in Negros Occidental were named as Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) 2024 awardees.

BACOLOD CITY — A total of 12 cities and six municipalities in Negros Occidental were named as Seal of Good Local Governance 2024 awardees.The cities are Bacolod, Bago, Cadiz, Escalante, Himamaylan, La Carlota, Sagay, San Carlos, Silay, Sipalay, Talisay and Victorias, while the six towns are EB Magalona, Hinigaran, Ilog, Isabela, La Castellana and Manapla.The provincial government of Negros Occidental is also an awardee this year.

'More than the award, which is gratifying, it is more gratifying that Negros Occidental is in accordance with the standards set by the Department of the Interior and Local Government. In fact, we surpassed the standards they have set,' he pointed out.He added that as 2024 ends, 'we want to ensure that parameters set for next year will be fully complied with and again win another SGLG award.
