Si Presidente Ferdinand Marcos Jr. niingon nga iyang pirmahan ang Negros Island Region Act, nga magtugot sa paghiusa sa Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental , ug Siquijor ngadto sa usa ka administratibong rehiyon.Sa pakighinabi sa mga tigbalita sa Bacolod City, si Marcos niingon nga ang gisugyot nga lakang nakita nga mapaduol ang serbisyo sa gobyerno sa rehiyon sa mga tawo.“Yeah, I think I will sign it,” matod ni Marcos.
Matagal nang problema ‘yan. Until we can consolidate, I can put it all together properly, and right now hindi pa ganun,” dugang niya.
