NEC Corp. has announced the completion of the Asia Direct Cable (ADC), a high-capacity submarine cable system connecting China (Hong Kong SAR and Guangdong province), Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
NEC Corp. has announced the completion of the Asia Direct Cable , a high-capacity submarine cable system connecting China , Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.The project, led by the ADC Consortium, marks a milestone in advancing digital connectivity in East and Southeast Asia.Equipped with multiple pairs of optical fibers, the cable can handle data transmission exceeding 160 terabits per second .
'It offers the greatest cable capacity and essential diversity required for Asia's major information hubs, enabling telecom carriers and service providers to optimize their network and service planning for sustainable growth.'With over 60 years of experience, NEC has installed more than 400,000 kilometers of submarine cables, nearly enough to circle the Earth 10 times. NEC provides end-to-end solutions for submarine cable systems, while its subsidiary, OCC Corp.
