NEA to activate power situation monitoring system for BSKE

THE National Electrification Administration (NEA) is set to activate its 24-hour power situation monitoring system on Friday, Oct. 27, 2023, for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).

This will be operated by the NEA, along with 121 electric cooperatives, to help ensure the smooth conduct of the polls on Monday, October 30.The NEA held a dry run of the electricity monitoring and reporting protocols on Wednesday, October 25.

'Reporting shall be done daily and submitted to the respective NEA Power Task Force Election 2023 teams using a format that includes details on the locations, substations affected, causes of the interruption, precincts affected, actions taken, date and time, among others,' the NEA said in a press statement on Thursday.
