NDRRMC: 22,700 people affected by NenengPH
A total of 22,700 individuals or 6,260 families have been affected by Severe Tropical Storm Neneng , the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said Monday.
In its report, the NDRRMC said the affected population was reported in 86 barangays in Ilocos, Cagayan, and Cordillera. A total of 678 people or 191 families were staying inside 30 evacuation centers, while 248 people or 77 families were taking shelter in other places. In Cagayan, a total of 3,702 people or 1,174 families were preemptively evacuated due to the threat of Neneng, the NDRRMC said.Four houses were damaged—two totally and two partially—in Ilocos and Cagayan.At least 29 roads and 12 bridges in Ilocos, Cagayan, and Cordillera are still not passable to motorists according to NDRRMC.
Power outages were experienced in 25 cities and municipalities in Ilocos and Cagayan. The power supply in three areas have been restored.At 8 p.m. on Sunday,
