A senior research fellow of OCTA Group on Monday said that there is no compelling reason why the Covid alert level in the National Capital Region should not be eased.The NCR is under Alert Level 3 until November 14.Business groups led by Presidential Adviser Jose Maria Concepcion 3rd have urged the government to put the region under Alert Level 2 to enable businesses to recover.OCTA Group Senior Research Fellow Dr. Guido David said Metro Manila is ready for an alert downgrade.

He added that the high vaccination coverage in Metro Manila will also prevent a surge that could lead to the overcrowding of hospitals.At least 80 percent of the target population in the NCR has been fully vaccinated, while 96 percent have received their first doses.'Mas bumababa na yung chance na magkaroon ng resurgence dahil marami na ang protektado....
