THE National Bureau of Investigation-National Capital Region has arrested four people involved in illegal sale of high-powered firearms.At a media briefing on Friday, NBI Director Jaime Santiago said that the suspects were apprehended during the Nov. 28 entrapment operation in Asiana Square.

He said the sting operation was meticulously planned, with NBI-NCR operatives posing as buyers of two M14 Cal. 5.56 rifles for P290,000. The transaction led to the arrest of the suspects who were identified as Jerome Nuyque, Maximo Ayawon, Michael Douglas Loleng, and Nilo Barnacha.Authorities also seized a cache of weapons and ammunition, including one Daniel Defense M4 Carbine Cal. 5.56mm, one Bushmaster Cal. 5.56mm Model XM15-E2S with four 5.
