Julienne Baronda disclosed this in an interview with a local radio station, saying NBI officials visited her office and provided information on the alleged illegal operations of the Chinese in the city.
'Protocols should be followed to ensure that all individuals are treated fairly and in accordance with the law,' he added.Last week, the local police apprehended a Chinese who was caught with P5 billion worth of smuggled cigarettes inside his warehouse.Recovered from the 59-year-old suspect are 83 boxes of undocumented cigarettes allegedly shipped from Malaysia.
