Victor Wembanyama filled up the stat sheet again, racking up 33 points, 15 rebounds, seven assists and seven blocked shots to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a rousing 122-115 overtime victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday in Austin, Texas.
San Antonio trailed by 10 points midway through the fourth quarter but rallied to tie the game at 107 on Wembanyama's dunk with 1:45 remaining. The Spurs then took the lead on Keldon Johnson's 3-pointer on the ensuing possession, but Brooklyn's Dennis Schroder canned a jumper from beyond the arc with 16 seconds left to tie the game at 110 and send the game to an extra period.The Nets went up 115-112 two minutes into overtime after Dorian Finney-Smith's dunk.
Devin Vassell added 25 points and eight assists while Johnson had 24 points, Tre Jones scored 11 with seven assists and Cedi Osman hit for 10 points as San Antonio snapped a three-game losing streak.Cam Thomas led the Nets with 31 points. Schroder added 19, Day'Ron Sharpe had 15 points, Mikal Bridges tallied 14, Cameron Johnson hit for 12 and Nic Claxton amassed 11 points and 14 rebounds for Brooklyn, which dropped its third straight game.
