Navotas City Mayor John Rey Tiangco said on Friday, Oct. 14, that good coordination between the local government and the city police resulted in better enforcement of laws in the city during his first 100 days in office.
The local government reported that the Navotas City Police seized P6,474,736 worth of illegal drugs and P22,268 illegal gambling money in various police operations conducted from July to September this year.During its sustained drive against the drug menace, the city government facilitated the rehabilitation of 72 persons through “Bidahan”, the city’s community-based drug rehabilitation program.
Text JRT is a local government project that encourages the residents to report about illegal use of drugs through text message so authorities can immediately respond. The newly renovated Navotas City Central Fire Station and newly constructed Disaster Risk Reduction Management’s staging area were also inaugurated during Tiangco’s administration.
