The Navotas City government has set a new record for its lowest COVID-19 active cases tally for this year.
The City Health Office reported only 31 active cases on Nov. 3, lower than the 33 cases listed last Feb. 6.
“Just this Saturday, during our situationer, we expressed our intention to beat our lowest number of active cases this week. And the Navoteños delivered!,” Mayor Toby Tiangco said. “OCTA Research has also classified Navotas as ‘very low risk.’ We congratulate and thank each Navoteño, especially our frontliners, for doing their utmost to help keep our city safe from COVID,” he added.
Tiangco urged the Navotenos to continue to follow health protocols to avoid the increase of COVID cases in the city.The city mayor also encouraged his constituents to get vaccinated against COVID-19. “We have started our vaccination for 12-17 years old, with or without comorbidity. We have allocated 300 slots per day. Parents or guardian, who have yet to get their vaccine, may accompany their child and have themselves vaccinated, too. However, they need another adult to assist them in case they experience side effects,” he said.Vaccine applicants will have to set an appointment through https://covax.navotas.gov.
