PARENTS and guardians can now register their children aged zero to four years old through the Philippine Identification System .Edwina Carriaga, chief administrative officer of the Philippine Statistics Authority 7, emphasized that including children under five years old in the PhilSys registration demonstrates the government’s commitment to inclusivity, ensuring every Filipino is included in the national database regardless of age.

Carriaga said the only required documents for PhilSys registration for registrants aged below five are a birth certificate from either the PSA or the local civil registrar and the presence of the guardian with their PhilID or ePhilID card.During the registration process, both parents or guardians of the child are required to have PhilSys registration, including a PhilSys Card Number, to ensure the smooth integration of the child’s data with theirs, she said.
