BACOLOD CITY — Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez of this city is seeking help from the national government to provide more classrooms and teachers to meet the growing number of students.
Benitez said he discussed the needs of the schools with Commission on Higher Education chairman Prospero de Vera III, who, along with First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos, attended the state universities and colleges fair 2023 in Iloilo City on Monday, July 10.“The applicants for enrollment are much much higher than the capacity of our educational institutions so we need to build more classrooms and train more teachers, which chairman de Vera acknowledged,” the mayor said.
