Nanaimo RCMP says a machete-wielding man was arrested after reports he assaulted people, broke windows and stole a vehicle.
They say officers responded to “numerous calls” from the public about the male driving the stolen vehicle “erratically” before crashing at the intersection of Wesley and Franklyn streets. He then fled the vehicle, prompting a police pursuit.
