Nanaimo RCMP shut down a busy stretch of Highway 19 on Friday morning to allow investigators to gather more evidence from the scene of a fatal crash that took place there nearly two weeks ago.

The Nanaimo Parkway was closed in both directions from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. between Aulds Road and Mostar Road so investigators could further comb the scene with a drone and officers on foot.when a southbound car veered out of controlShe was brought to hospital but died of her injuries. Meanwhile, the man who was driving the vehicle that crossed the median was also taken to hospital for serious but non-life-threatening injuries, RCMP said at the time.
