About six years ago he says he asked former Auditor General Terry Paddon to conduct an audit of Nalcor. The report contains a number of findings regarding questionable discretionary expenses, conflict of interest, and use of embedded contractors.In fact, by not aligning policies covering discretionary expenses with government policy whenever possible, Nalcor incurred excess expenses.
“Muskrat Falls and Nalcor Energy were touted for all of the benefits and pride they would bring to this province. Now at every turn, we learn that the project was taken advantage of and it has left the people of this province on the hook for billions of dollars.”
