I want to find someone who really knows the culture of where they came from, at the same time the values and the core principles of the province or the hometown that they represent, transcending the beauty that we have,” she told the Inquirer at the sidelines of the press presentation of candidates at Citadines Bay City Manila in Pasay City on Nov. 23.

Castro also hinted at a possible return to the pageant stage after she relinquishes her title. “Now I’m Manila-based, so I guess you’ll see me again soon,” she shared.
