Benjamin Cooper, 27, of Toronto, was charged with offences in relation to seven youths between 14 and 17.

Cooper worked for Gymnastics Ontario in Ottawa and Kingston between 2014 and 2021, police said. The offences occurred between 2014 and 2022 in the course of his coaching duties and after hours, the release added. Gymnastics Ontario, in a post on its website, said it started an investigation of Cooper on April 11, 2022, after receiving information about him.
“Gymnastics Ontario has a zero-tolerance with respect to the harm of any participant in our federation,” the post read.Article content
