Muda has never discussed joining Perikatan, says party's sec-gen

PETALING JAYA: The option to join Perikatan Nasional was never discussed, says Muda's secretary-general Amir Hadi.

This came after Gerakan chief Datuk Dominic Lau said he wanted to propose for Muda to join the coalition in the upcoming Perikatan leadership meeting.

"Any statement linking Muda's participation in Perikatan is not from Muda and does not represent Muda," he added. Lau reportedly said that Muda's agenda and aspirations align with Perikatan's anti-corruption stance. He said Gerakan believed that Muda could be with Perikatan as a component party or an ally in Friends of Perikatan due to their common anti-corruption stance.
