Movie and Television Review Classification Board chairperson Lala Sotto is standing her ground amid controversy surrounding the 12-day suspension of"It's Showtime."Note that Lala is the daughter of Helen Gamboa and Tito Sotto. Lala emphasized,"I truly believe my being a Sotto or being my father’s daughter should not be taken against me.
She added,"I really believe that we should respect other’s opinions also, that’s their opinion, there’s nothing I can do."Regarding the public's call for her resignation, she stated firmly,"I’m not going to satisfy the whims of my detractors." Recalling recent events, ABS-CBN reacted to MTRCB's decision to reject their request for reconsideration.
