Good news awaits government employees as the Metro Rail Transit System Line 3 and Light Rail Transit2 will be offering free rides for them from September 18 to 20 in celebration of the 124th anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service. Civil servants should present employee IDs to station personnel to avail of the free ride service.For MRT-3 passengers, the offer will be available during the whole operation hours of the train system. The North Avenue Station starts operations at 4:30 a.m.
"Binabati at pinasasalamatan po natin ang lahat ng mga empleyado ng gobyerno na naglilingkod nang tapat para sa kapakanan ng publiko,” said MRT-3 general manager Oscar Bongon on Facebook. “Layon ng libreng sakay ng MRT-3 na makapaghatid ng kahit kaunting kasiyahan sa kanila na tanda ng aming pagsaludo at pasasalamat sa kanilang mga sakripisyo. Mabuhay ang mga kawani ng gobyerno,” he said.On the other hand, LRT-2 passengers can avail of the free rides from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.
