Just a heads-up if you’re staying in Metro Manila this Holy Week

In case you’ll be staying in Metro Manila during Holy Week this year, the Department of Transportation has announced that operations of the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 will be suspended from March 28 to 31, 2024. The MRT-3 will observe regular operating hours on March 27, with the first train departing from North Avenue Station at 4:30 and from Taft Avenue Station at 5:05am. The last train will leave North Avenue Station at 9:30pm and Taft Avenue Station at 10:09pm. Normal operations will resume on April 1. Last week, the Philippine National Railways already announced that the five-year suspension of its Metro Manila operations will begin on March 28. Specifically, the Governor Pascual–Tutuban and Tutuban-Alabang routes will be closed to help accelerate the construction of the North-South Commuter Railway.

No advisories have been released at the time of writing as regards the Holy Week operations of the Light Rail Transit Lines 1 and 2 .
