MR.D.I.Y., one of Asia’s largest life and home improvement retailers, kickstarted the year 2022 by celebrating the 200th store at GMall of Davao from Feb. 18 to 20, 2022.
This year’s theme, “A global brand with a heart for the locals” depicts the presence of MR.D.I.Y. in Asia, Southeast Asia, and Europe, but at the same time, its passion and commitment to bringing the brand closer to the different local communities from Luzon to Mindanao.
During the celebration, Roselle Marisol Andaya, MR.D.I.Y. Philippines chief executive officer , said, “Your ultimate ‘‘ store, as some of our customers would call us, has been serving millions of Filipinos since we opened our first store in 2018. Year on year, we’ve grown from 6 stores in the first year, to 200 stores by the end of 2021, providing more than 18,000 products across 10 categories and fulfilling our company promise of “Always Low Prices”.
She also added, “Our success wouldn’t have been possible without the unrelenting support from all our valued customers, our very hard-working MR.D.I.Y. team, regional shareholders, and supportive business partners like the GMall Group for opening their doors to MR.D.I.Y. here in the region of Davao, Mindanao.”
The three-day event is packed with fun-filled and exciting promotions for the customers. The first 50 customers are surprised with complimentary gift vouchers to enjoy their shopping. A photo booth to capture the moment thrills shoppers on the second day and on the last day, lucky customers pick a prize from the mystery box for a minimum spend.
The fun doesn’t stop there because MR.D.I.Y. gives out either a free umbrella or water bottle for a minimum spend from February 18 to 20. “These promotions are our expression of gratitude to our valued customers for making MR.D.I.Y. their favorite home improvement retail store”, said Andaya.
