PETALING JAYA: Doubles shuttlers Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik could not have asked for a worst possible draw in the knockout stage.

Indonesia's Marcus Fernaldi-Kevin Sanjaya lost to Taiwan's Lee Yang-Wang Chi-Lin in their men's doubles group match but both pairs made it to the quarter-finals as the top two from their group. Marcus-Kevin face Malaysia's Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik in the last eight while Lee Yang-Chi-lin meet Japan's Hiroyuki Endo-Yuta Watanabe next. - AP.

In a draw released just after the completion of group matches, the world No. 9 were unlucky to be drawn against world No. 1 and top seeds Marcus Fernaldi-Kevin Sanjaya of Indonesia in the quarter-finals, which will be held on Thursday. If they pull off a shocking win over the Indonesians, they will most probably face 2018 world champions Li Junhui-Liu Yuchen of China in the last four.
