The Wolfville Theatre Collective will be putting Mosquitoes on at the Al Whittle Theatre in Wolfville in March. - Filehas a new production coming up in early March. Mosquitoes by Lucy Kirkwood is a recent British play first staged in 2017.
The plot is primarily a tale of two sisters Alice, an experimental physicist, and Jenny, her complete opposite, who trusts her horoscope more than her doctor. Along with Alice's teenage son, the sisters pull in different directions, with the full cast of characters touching on a wide range of issues.
The cast includes Devon Edmonds, Lizon Richard, Paul Abela, Dan Mendoza, Antonella Ponce, Thea Burton, David Foley, Emily Lutz and Luis Ilagan. Mosquitoes is a family drama set against the backdrop of the Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland. This play makes a strong case that the age of information is also the age of anxiety, where the smallest of choices can have devastating consequences.
