COTABATO CITY – The Philippine Army has deployed additional troops to beef up security forces in the barangay elections in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
THE Army has deployed additional troops to maintain peace in the barangays elections in the Bangsamoro Autonumous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
During a recent meeting with the Commission on Elections in BARMM, Galido assured that there will be no room for failure of elections in BARMM and the elections will proceed as scheduled. The additional soldiers arrived aboard a military aircraft on Friday, October 20, at the Awang Airport here to augment security forces in Central Mindanao.
"This proactive stance is aimed at safeguarding the electoral process to demonstrate the commitment of the government to upholding democracy and maintaining law and order,” Rillera said.
