TACLOBAN CITY – A mother and her two children were hacked to death in a farm in Barangay Pupua, Catbalogan City, Samar, on Wednesday, August 30.
Police identified the victims as Rea Oreo, 26; her three-year-old daughter, and her five-month-old son.
Victims were found bathing in their own blood by Edito Candiz, common-law husband of Oreo and the father of the children in front of their house which was 200 meters away from the main road.Victims were taken to a local funeral home for post-mortem examination. Authorities are tracking the still unidentified perpetrators. Motive of the incident remains unknown.
