Mojdeh narrowly missed the gold medal in the girls' 16-18 100m butterfly event, finishing with a time of 1:03.40, just behind Thailand's Thitiphon Kertsriphan .'We were in distant lanes so that I couldn't see her.
Mojdeh, a Behrouz Elite Swimming Team standout, aims to bounce back in three more events — 400 m Individual Medley, 200 m breaststroke and 200 m butterfly.Besides Mojdeh's silver, the national junior swimming team also secured one silver and one bronze on the opening day of the three-day meet.Veteran international campaigner Jamesray Ajido submitted 24.63 seconds to secure the silver medal in the boys' 14-15 50 m freestyle event.Jirapat Chayangsu of host Thailand topped the event in 24.
