The Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) will extend the run of its official entries until January 14 in select cinemas due to public demand. MMFF chairman Atty. Don Artes announced the extension, thanking moviegoers for their support of the festival's 50th edition. Complimentary passes will be honored until January 14, and Artes hopes the extension will boost earnings that support various film industry beneficiaries.
The Metro Manila Film Festival will extend the run of its official entries until January 14 in select cinemas, according to Metropolitan Manila Development Authority chairman Atty. Don Artes on Monday.Artes said the extension came following calls from the public and movie enthusiasts. This as he also thanked the patronage of moviegoers to the official entries of the MMFF . “We, at the MMFF , are overwhelmed with the continued support of the public for the festival’s 50th edition.
Artes said the MMFF complimentary passes would be honored until January 14. He expressed hope that the earnings will continue to increase amid the extension. The proceeds from the MMFF will go to a number of beneficiaries, such as the Movie Workers Welfare Foundation , the Film Academy of the Philippines, the Motion Picture Anti-Film Piracy Council, the Optical Media Board, and the Film Development Council of the Philippines .
