THE Metropolitan Manila Development Authority is teaming up with Japan to bring advanced technology to the fight against traffic congestion in the National Capital Region .Through a partnership with the Japan International Cooperation Agency , the MMDA launched the MMITS Project on Thursday.The three-year project will focus on upgrading Metro Manila’s traffic systems by using smart solutions and Japan ese expertise.
JICA Senior Representative Keisuke Fukui highlighted Japan’s commitment to helping Metro Manila move forward through technology. “We are keen to maximize the outputs of the project, and, with our guidance, how much the MMDA will utilize these resources,” Fukui said.The MMITS Project will help MMDA enhance its ability to plan and implement tech-driven traffic solutions.
