Miss Universe Philippines on Friday aired their side on why the coronation night started hours later than the announced time.The organization said in a Facebook post that the show started late on May 22 to “give way to the numerous requests of ticket-holders who were coming straight from work that day.”MUPH added that since the coronation ceremony was livestreamed but taped as live, it took “longer than an actual live broadcast.
“A universe of gratitude for all of you who helped make The Coronation of Miss Universe Philippines 2024 a sold-out event! It is one of the few events in SM MOA Arena's history to fill the venue to capacity on a weekday,” they said.MUPH also announced that a shorter version of the full show is now available on Empire Philippines’ YouTube channel.Shamcey Supsup, Binibining Pilipinas Universe 2011 and Miss Universe third runner-up, currently serves as MUPH National Director.
