Discriminated and bullied at times, finding a place in society is a challenge to achieve for persons with disabilities. ManilaBulletin

Asia's first pageant for people with different needs features inclusive fashion show with celebritiesTo express oneself clearly is a simple wish But for a person with disability, it does not come easy. People respond in various ways to children with disabilities. Discriminated and bullied at times, finding a place in society is a challenge to achieve for persons with disabilities.

For many, it is not easy to understand the needs of persons with disabilities and a lot of misconceptions and myths surround their disabilities. Due to lack of information and awareness about their impairment, understanding about their condition is limited. With these in mind, Miss Possibilities Foundation Inc., composed of parents with children with disabilities, believes that the pageant is a good venue to reach out and educate society about the different spectrum of persons with disabilities. This way, participants can showcase their talents, inform and educate the public about their condition and eventually create a culture of acceptance and understanding.

The ultimate goal of this experience is to promote inclusion and equality. The pageant has created a deep impact not only on the lives of the candidates but also to other persons with disabilities. These girls dream of becoming a princess, wearing a crown, attending a prom or a party, or just simply being themselves—accepted and understood by society. Finding a venue for them to achieve that is a challenge Miss Possibilities Foundation Inc. has taken and found the right venue with this pageant.

The 6th Miss Possibilities Pageant and Inclusive Fashion Show with Celebrities is happening on May 13, 2023 at the Henry Lee Irwin Theater in Ateneo De Manila University from 3pm to 6pm. Twelve young girls will vie for the title of Miss Possibilities 2023 while thirty children and adults with disabilities will be featured in a show that includes celebrity guests.
