Miriam Quiambao looked back on the time she fell on stage during the Miss Universe 1999 pageant, where she finished as first runner-up.On Friday's "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," the former beauty queen reenacted her fall and shared what really happened during that unpredictable moment.According to Miriam, she practiced her walk a hundred times a day during her week-long training in Venezuela just to ensure that the moment would be perfect.
"The fall happened fast, and Miriam gracefully recovered from it just as quickly — a moment that drew applause from the crowd and won the hearts of pageant fans."It was just so fast pero nag-desisyon ako in my heart, sabi ko tatapusin ko 'yung nasimulan ko. Bangon ako nang ganiyan, tapos ikot ako, aba 'yung buong auditorium pumapalakpak, bibigyan ko sila ng drama," she said.She also told Tito Boy that people didn't know how nervous she was in that moment.
