As of Nov. 21, according to the Muntinlupa COVID-19 Vaccination Program (MunCoVac), a total of 17,773 minors have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The Muntinlupa City government has vaccinated nearly 18,000 minors aged 12 to 17 years old in nearly a month.

In total, the city government has already administered 18,320 vaccine jabs to minors since it started inoculating the pediatric population on Oct. 25. Of the total, 2,449 minors have comorbidities or are classified as Pediatric A3, while 31,213 are classified as “well children.” Based on the Department of Health guidelines, the comorbidities eligible for the Pediatric A3 vaccination are medical complexity, genetic conditions, neurologic conditions, metabolic/endocrine diseases, cardiovascular diseases, obesity, HIV infection, tuberculosis, chronic respiratory diseases, renal disorders, hepatobiliary diseases and immunocompromised state due to disease or treatment.
