TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – The daily minimum wage of workers in the private sector in Region 2 (Cagayan Valley) will increase by P30 and it will be given in two tranches.
Director Jesus Elpidio Atal, Department of Labor and Employment -Region 2 chief, confirmed the wage increase which was approved by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board and National Wages Productivity Commission.first tranche of P15 is effective October 16. The second tranche, another P15, is effective April 1, 2024.
This brings the daily minimum take-home pay in the region to P450 for non-agricultural workers and P430 for workers in agriculture establishments. The RTWPB in Cagayan Valley also issued Wage Order 02-DW-05 granting an increase of P500 for “kasambahays” or household workers in the region that brings their monthly salary to P5,500.
