Despite impeachment complaints, VP Sara Duterte enjoys high trust rating among Filipinos.
Some groups from Mindanao will hold a meeting with several leaders to discuss the protection of Vice President Sara Duterte. This Thursday, December 18, 2024, a gathering will be held by Mindanao leaders led by Davao City barangay leader, Alimoden “Kap Wating” Usman. Usman, who led Duterte for President 2016 Movement and Run Sara Run, formed the new ' Mindanao ns Not For Sale' movement after the People's Initiative issue.
Kapitan Wating said in a previous interview with SuperBalita Davao that this is one of their ways to show the strong and sincere support for the Vice President. This is especially important because there are impeachment complaints filed against VP Sara after issues that were discussed in the QuadComm hearing. Despite this, VP Sara still maintains a high trust rating among Filipinos, as seen in the Office of the Vice President Facebook post, which stated that VP Sara continues to have “highest approval” and “trust rating”. In the post, VP Duterte acknowledged a 37 percent approval rating and a 31 percent trust rating in the latest '2024 Pahayag End of the Year' survey by Publicus Asia Inc. The survey period was from November 29 to December 3, 2024.
