Naghahanda na ang ilang local government unit sa Metro Manila sa posibilidad ng pagkalat ng mas nakahahawang Delta variant ng COVID-19.

Sa Makati, puspusan naman ang bakunahan dahil na rin sa banta ng Delta variant. Malaki din kasi ang backlog ng lungsod sa pagbabakuna dahil sa kakulangan ng supply.Bilang paghahanda sa Delta variant, hinigpitan na ulit ang pagpapatupad ng minimum health standards at pagbabawal sa mass gathering.
