The local government units (LGUs) in Metro Manila will shift to a 7am–4pm work schedule starting May 2, 2024. The implementation was postponed to give LGUs more time to prepare and disseminate the information to the public. LGUs have the flexibility to adopt their own schedules as long as frontline services adhere to the 7am–4pm timeframe.

Manila to Host 50th Edition of Metro Manila Film FestivalThe Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) executive committee (EXECOM) are set to celebrate the 50th edition of the festival in December. Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan expressed her gratitude to the agency and the EXECOM for choosing the city to host this year’s film festival.
