The local government units (LGUs) in Metro Manila will shift to a 7am–4pm work schedule starting May 2, 2024. The implementation was postponed to give LGUs more time to prepare and disseminate the information to the public. LGUs have the flexibility to adopt their own schedules as long as frontline services adhere to the 7am–4pm timeframe.

This was supposed to take effect on Monday, April 15, but now the Metro Manila Council and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority have announced that the adjusted work hours will begin on May 2, 2024.
