This ‘mini-heatwave’ looks set to last a little longer
Ireland is in for some scorching conditions this week as Met Eireann’s forecast and meteorologist commentary point to 30C highs and ‘tropical nights’ for some.
However, highest temperatures will remain around 23 degrees and will be warmest near the south coast where the best of the sunshine will be. It will be much cooler along north-facing coasts due to a light to moderate north to northwest breeze. As for next week, Irish Meteorologist, Paul Downes says: “As the high begins to drift a little to the east on Sunday, temperatures will rise to mid to upper 20’s with temperatures possibly surpassing 30 locally on Monday.
