Meralco and San Miguel Beer will be defending the home court as both PBA squads take on separate tough opponents in the East Asia Super League Season 2 home-and-away tournament on Wednesday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

The Bolts clash with the reigning Korean Basketball League champions Busan KCC Egis in the main game at 8:10 p.m., following the match between the Beermen and the Taiwanese squad Taoyuan Pauian Pilots at 6:10 p.m. Meralco coach Luigi Trillo said the Bolts will miss the services of rookie CJ Cansino who is nursing an ankle injury. Aaron Black and Allein Maliksi are also expected to sit this one out as the are still recovering from knee injuries.

We feel confident that we're in a better situation even though we have some guys who are still injured,' Trillo said.'We just have to be tougher mentally because in the EASL, teams are very physical,' he added.The 32-year-old Mitchell brings with him his extensive pro basketball experience, having played in various countries like France, Australia, Turkey, Israel, Puerto Rico, Greece, Germany and China.He also saw action in the NBA G-League .
