An executive of power retailer Manila Electric Co. said sales volume in August likely grew by “a little above six percent”.

Geluz earlier said Meralco was expecting a full-year sales volume growth of 4 percent, led by 5-percent increase in the second half. “We sort of had some talk with SEIPI president, and he’s confident that semicon might have a rebound towards the latter part of the year,” Geluz said. Sales mix also continued to shift towards pre-pandemic levels, with commercial segment accounting for a bigger 37-percent share from 35 percent in 2022.
