The whole orange clads at the Araneta Coliseum went to celebration after Fajardo’s buzzer-beating triple didn’t go in with 1.3 left as the final buzzer sounded. Fajardo, however, remained to be a major threat to Meralco side even at the closing seconds of the game as the ten-time Best Player of the Conference almost brought the game into extension after hitting a game-tying trey with 3.3 left through a botched play that knotted the count to 78-all.
