A man has been arrested following a drug raid that led to more than $40 million worth of methamphetamine being seized from a shipping container in Melbourne. 9News
The 43-year-old man was charged yesterday after Australian Border Force officers discovered 500 litres of methamphetamine, worth $41.6 million, in a shipping container of food products.
The drugs were found in plastic barrels of white vinegar imported into Melbourne from Turkey on February 8, according to police. Officers identified that 25 barrels of the consignment, each containing 20 litres of liquid, contained methamphetamine.
